Final Projects
Project 1 - 3D Logos
The two logos I brought to the point of completion are the The Last Mile logo and the Guardian Project Logo. The Last Mile is an organization focused on educating incarcerated individuals and to prepare them to enter tech and business jobs once released and Guardian Project works to provide safe, open source software to people in need. I chose to make a logo for The Last Mile because prison reform and restorative justice are issues that I care very deeply about. Also, as someone interested in STEM, I am happy to see STEM education being implemented in prisons. I chose to make my second logo for Guardian Project because I appreciate the work the organization is doing to combat censorship and to protect the digital privacy of people doing important but dangerous work.

Project 2 - Snowglobe
Instead of modeling a winter scene in my snowglobe, I chose to model and animate a glowing UFO flying through space using primitive shapes, deformers, visible light, and materials. To create the effect of snow, I animated a rotating starry background and placed an emitter inside the dome that emits glowing orbs of various sizes.

Project 3 - Scooter
My scooter is inspired by the shape of a motorcycle with dark exhaust revving its engine. I used the PyroCluster tool to model the exhaust and the vibrate tag to simulate the revving of an engine. The metal materials were created using GGX reflectance.

Project 4 - Cuckoo Clock
My cuckoo clock is a tower with a glowing clock face that emits a dark gas at every hour. I used cloners to model such a large number of windows quickly, a physical sky to make create more stylized lighting, and the PyroCluster tool on an emitter to simulate the cloud of gas.

Project 6 - Yayoi Kosuma
The first room is a dark, maze-like building that the camera quickly moves through with a disorienting flashing sky texture that shatters at the end of the video. The second room is bright, round room with natural textures coupled with bright white materials. In both rooms, the camera is animated along a spline.

NOTE: You may have to turn your screen brightness up to view the first room.
